Detectives just returned to Portland, Oregon, from the scene of the reported massacre of Chinese on Snake river, report that there is every reason to believe the Chinese whose bodies were found in the river were murdered by their companions, and not by whites or Indians.
There were two rival factions mining in the same locality.
