OURAY (Col.), August 25.—Lee Quan, a Chinese, this morning attempted to assault the daughter of General Shaw. He was arrested. The citizens became more and more excited all day. This evening the officers attempted to take him to a place of safety. He was shot twice and will die. It is supposed that the child’s father did the shooting.
