The Truckee Tribune of the 8th gives the following account of this affair, which we mentioned a few days ago:
On last Sunday a Chinaman, who had been employed by Charles Nuce of the Truckee House, at Crystal Peak, committed rape on a daughter of Nuce’s only six years old. The child has contracted a loathsome disease. Nuce made the Chinaman own to having tampered with the child; he then took the Chinaman to the bank of the river, shot him and threw him into the stream; the Chinaman struggled and crawled out, when Nuce beat him over the head with a stone and he fell back into the river, and it was the last that was seen of the Chinaman. Public opinion is that Nuce did only his duty.
